Princess Märtha Louise has had a much higher public profile recently, perhaps to deflect media attention from the coming marriage of Crown Prince Haakon in August this year.
A recent tour of Finnmark boosted the princess' growing popularity, and gossip magazines and tabloids have begun following her every move with even more scrutiny.
The palace have refused to comment on recent speculation that the princess may be about to move in with her author friend, though the sensation-loving entertainment magazine 'Se og Hør' claims that the pair are close companions and that Behn has been seen at Märtha Louise's apartment at all hours.
Princess Märtha Louise has attracted plenty of media attention when the opportunity for romantic rumor has presented itself. She was even mentioned in a 1994 divorce case involving an English equestrian.
